Geography Magnet Modules
Interactive, classroom-ready Geography Magnet Modules that help students develop map skills and spatial understanding using magnetic manipulatives. Designed to support active learning, these modules allow students to build, move, label, and revise maps piece by piece as they explore states, countries, continents, and global patterns—supported by teacher guides and student handouts.

Why Geography Magnets Work
Build geographic understanding step-by-step instead of memorizing maps and place names
Make spatial relationships, boundaries, and scale interactive through hands-on map construction
Support accurate placement and comparison of states, countries, continents, and regions
Encourage student discussion, collaboration, and geographic reasoning as maps are built and revised
Support whole-class modeling at the board and individual or small-group practice
Reinforce geography concepts already taught in social studies, world history, and earth science curricula
Geography Modules (G1–G7)
EdMagZ® Geography Magnet Modules include a sequence of hands-on curricula designed to support geography and social studies instruction across a range of grade levels and courses. Modules G1–G5 focus on regional and continental geography, with students building maps of the United States, Europe, Central and South America, Africa, and Asia by placing individual state or country pieces to develop map skills, spatial reasoning, and geographic vocabulary. Each module is available with names and capitals printed, names only, capitals only, or completely unlabeled, allowing teachers to select the level of difficulty that best matches their students’ needs. Module G6: World Geography brings these skills together as students construct a complete world map, allowing them to examine global patterns, relative location, and scale across continents. Module G7: Pangaea extends geographic understanding through a dynamic model of continental drift, as students reconstruct Pangaea, track the movement of continents over time, and use fossil evidence to explore how Earth’s surface has changed. Across all modules, students build, label, move, and revise maps piece by piece, making geographic relationships and large-scale spatial patterns easier to understand, discuss, and explain.
Teacher Sets
Whole-class instruction on a classroom whiteboard
Teacher Sets are designed for whole-class instruction using a standard classroom whiteboard. The larger pieces are easy for all students to see, even from the back of the room.
The components match the Student Sets exactly, allowing teachers to model processes, pathways, and structures on the board while students follow along at their desks. This shared visual language helps reinforce understanding and keeps lessons aligned.
Teacher Sets are ideal for direct instruction, guided practice, and whole-class demonstrations.
Recommended whiteboard size: 36 × 48 inches or larger
Student Sets
Individual and small-group modeling at desks
Student Sets are scaled for individual or small-group use at desks or tables. They are ideal for partner work, tutoring, stations, and homeschooling.
The pieces match the Teacher Sets exactly—just at a smaller size—so students can mirror classroom models while working at their desks. This alignment allows students to follow demonstrations in real time, build the same models independently, and actively demonstrate their thinking through movement and revision.
Student Set bundles of 6 modules or more receive a 10% discount. Discounted pricing appears automatically in the shop.
