Anatomy and Physiology Magnet Modules
Interactive, classroom-ready Anatomy and Physiology Magnet Modules that help students model core biological structures and body systems using magnetic manipulatives. Designed to support active learning, these modules allow students to build, label, compare, and revise models as they explore cells, tissues, organs, and human body systems—supported by teacher guides and student handouts.
Students using Module AP5 - Human Anatomy - Submodule G - Body Organs
Why Anatomy & Physiology Magnets Work
Model biological structures and body systems step-by-step instead of memorizing diagrams and terms
Make structures, relationships, and processes interactive through hands-on modeling and spatial reasoning
Support accurate identification, placement, and comparison of cells, tissues, organs, and body systems
Encourage student discussion, collaboration, and evidence-based biological explanation
Support whole-class modeling at the board and individual or small-group practice
Reinforce anatomy and physiology concepts already taught in your life science, biology, or anatomy curriculum
Anatomy & Physiology Modules (AP1–AP6)
EdMagZ® Anatomy and Physiology Magnet Modules include a sequence of hands-on curricula designed to support life science, biology, and anatomy instruction across a range of grade levels and courses. Module AP1 introduces atomic structure and foundational chemistry using magnetic models to identify and organize subatomic particles, while Module AP2 extends these ideas through simple molecules and bonding to connect structure to biological relevance. Module AP3 focuses on organic molecules, allowing students to build and compare carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids as they connect molecular structure to biological function. Module AP4 centers on cell structure, with students modeling prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells to examine organelle structure, function, and differences among cell types. Module AP5: Human Anatomy forms the core anatomy module and includes seven integrated parts covering the skeletal, muscular, circulatory, and nervous systems; the parts of the brain; the parts of the eye and ear; and the major body organs. In the body organs component, students must place each organ in its correct anatomical location, reinforcing spatial relationships and system organization within the human body. Module AP6 builds on this foundation by modeling immune system interactions, allowing students to explore how cells and systems communicate to maintain function. Students can label structures directly on the magnets or on the whiteboard using dry-erase markers, then erase and revise their work for repeated practice. By physically placing, labeling, and revising models, these modules make complex biological structures and physiological relationships easier to understand, discuss, and explain.
Teacher Sets
Whole-class instruction on a classroom whiteboard
Teacher Sets are designed for whole-class instruction using a standard classroom whiteboard. The larger pieces are easy for all students to see, even from the back of the room.
The components match the Student Sets exactly, allowing teachers to model processes, pathways, and structures on the board while students follow along at their desks. This shared visual language helps reinforce understanding and keeps lessons aligned.
Teacher Sets are ideal for direct instruction, guided practice, and whole-class demonstrations.
Recommended whiteboard size: 36 × 48 inches or larger
Student Sets
Individual and small-group modeling at desks
Student Sets are scaled for individual or small-group use at desks or tables. They are ideal for partner work, tutoring, stations, and homeschooling.
The pieces match the Teacher Sets exactly—just at a smaller size—so students can mirror classroom models while working at their desks. This alignment allows students to follow demonstrations in real time, build the same models independently, and actively demonstrate their thinking through movement and revision.
Student Set bundles of 6 modules or more receive a 10% discount. Discounted pricing appears automatically in the shop.
Recommended whiteboard size: 18 × 24 inches or larger
