This hands-on United States Map module features individual plastic state pieces (with the exception of doubling up a few smaller states), each backed with magnets for use on any magnetic whiteboard. Teachers and students collaboratively build the map by placing the state pieces on the board, where the magnets securely hold them in place for easy manipulation and discussion.
When completed, the teacher set forms a large, highly visible map measuring approximately 36" wide by 30" high, making it ideal for whole-class instruction and demonstrations. The student set assembles into a compact map measuring about 20" wide by 18" high, perfectly sized for small-group or individual learning.
Sets are available in multiple formats to support a variety of learning goals: states and capitals printed, states only, capitals only, or blank for open-ended practice. Each piece has a dry-erase surface, allowing students to write directly on the states with dry-erase markers and quickly erase for repeated use.
